Vacation Bible School and Day Camp Recap 2023

Led by four awesome Riverside Bible Camp Counselors, Trinity presented Foundation, based on Psalm 62:2: “He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress: I shall not be greatly shaken.” There were 17 preschoolers, 50 day campers, and 16 youth & adult helpers at Trinity June 12-15.

The Day Camp service project for the week was to bring items for the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank. The young people this week brought 126 items the Food Bank needs the most.

Special thanks to Lisa Wulf and Rachel Paulus, who led the preschool for the week, the helpers for all the age groups, and all who provided snacks and supplies. Big thanks to the Hesleys, who had the counselors for dinner and an evening of fun, and thanks to the Youth & Family Committee for hosting an ice cream social after Thursday’s closing celebration. A HUGE thank you to The Dettmers and The Stines for providing housing and meals and a very good time for the counselors. Trinity is truly blessed to have such wonderful people who give their time and talent to make this week possible!
