Care Ministry

Care Ministry

Care Ministry is an opportunity for us to remember and stay connected to Trinity members who are no longer able to join us for worship and other activities. Care Ministry is a blessing for those who give and receive care. Volunteers and recipients are able to choose their preference; in-person visits with or without home communion, phone calls, or post cards. Our intention is to make contact once a month to share God’s healing love. We currently have approximately 50 Care Ministry volunteers making connections with approximately 100 members!

Freezer Meals

The Freezer Meal Ministry provides meals to Trinity members and friends who need a little help for various reasons. The need may be based on a temporary situation such as a family illness or an ongoing situation where a home cooked meal would be most welcomed.

Help keep the freezer stocked with meals such as casseroles, stews, and soups which can be easily defrosted and heated.

The meals can be:
-Frozen store-bought meals
-Store bought and then frozen meals
-Home cooked or home-baked and then frozen meals
-Home-assembled and then frozen meals

If you would like to prepare a meal, please follow these ABC’s:

A.      Package well to avoid freezer burn. Use either a well-covered, disposable casserole dish (8X8 or 9X13 sizes) or a freezer bag. Trinity has disposable freezer/microwavable containers available to use for individual portions.
B.      Label the meal with the following information: meal labels available at Trinity or print your own
-Date Prepared
-Name of Meal
-Ingredients
-Thawing, Cooking and/or Reheating Instructions
-Number of Servings
-Meal Prepared/Given by

C.      Deliver the meal to Trinity Lutheran Church during regular office hours.
-Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m
