Fourth Sunday of Advent

In the season of Advent, we count down the days until Christmas. This Advent, we center our worship on God’s promise: the promise of a Savior. Trusting in God’s enduring faithfulness, we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus’ birth on Christmas while our longing hearts wait in hope for God’s promised Savior’s reign of peace.

With Christmas just around the corner, we look ahead to the manger where we receive A Promise to Be Close.  In the Christ child, God’s very heart enters human flesh and blood.  Through the Spirit, God’s presence finds a dwelling place in our heart.  “I am with you always,” Jesus promises. God is always close.
