Celebrating Care Ministry

September 3, 2025 Letter From Our Pastor By: Pastor Dan Gerrietts
Care Ministry Appreciation Banquet

In early 2024, Trinity launched a new Care Ministry to support and stay connected with members who, for a variety of reasons, are no longer able to attend church events. Our congregation has done this type of work in many ways over the years. TLC Care Ministry was launched to strengthen and expand these ministries through volunteer training, recruitment and mutual support.

Last month, we held a TLC Care Ministry celebration. Over ice cream sundaes, volunteers shared their experiences and took part in additional training led by TLC Parish Nurse Becky Elsbernd and Pastor Beverly Butler. It was such a fun event!

We currently have 54 care ministry volunteers who, over the past year, made 1,139 contacts with Trinity members and friends. That’s about 95 per month – care visits, home communion visits, phone calls and notes. This is in addition to all the visits made by Trinity’s staff.

Would you like to join this growing ministry? Contact Becky or Pastor Beverly – they would love to get you involved! And if you know someone who could benefit from a visit, call or note – please let us know. Thank you to our amazing Care Ministry volunteers for ‘sharing God’s healing love’ with so many!
