Becky Elsbernd

Parish Nurse

Becky began her ministry as a Parish Nurse at Trinity Lutheran Church on November 8, 2004. She has expanded Health Ministries beyond the walls of Trinity through Faith and Wellness Outreach, inviting the community to take part in Trinity’s holistic wellness programs. She has a passion for helping people grow spiritually and facilitates opportunities to practice a variety of spiritual disciplines. She enjoys supporting people on their journey toward health and wholeness.

Becky grew up in the small town of Ellsworth, Wisconsin. She graduated from Luther College in Decorah with a BA in Nursing. A formative experience for her in college was working for four summers at Luther Point Bible Camp in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Her dream job was to become a parish nurse to combine her love of ministry and nursing. She completed an independent study in Parish Nursing while at Luther. After graduation, she worked at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital, Ossian Senior Hospice, and Fillmore County Public Health. She enjoys gardening, scrapbooking, and reading. She and her husband, Randy, live on a hobby farm with their three adult children: Nathan, Britta, and Markus.
