What is it that we believe?

To be human is to wrestle with old and new questions about our faith and God. This August, our sermon series looks back 1,700 years to the Nicene Creed with an eye on today’s world.

The Nicene Creed was written to settle some important controversies regarding Jesus’ identity. The writers also chose to use ‘we’ instead of ‘I’ for each statement of belief. Why does this matter? And what do we do when part of the creed challenges our personal beliefs?
