Jesus Christ is our Good Shepherd. Jesus is also the gate to keep us safe. Safe from what? Someone who does not care anything about the sheep but wants them for his own gain, wealth, and selfish purposes. Jesus also used another figure of speech. The sheep know the true shepherd’s voice. A true shepherd knows our names and cares about us. To whom do you listen? Whom do you trust to be your leader, your guide?
