This Weekend at Trinity - August 9 & 10, 2025 🐞- “We believe in God, the maker of all that is seen and unseen.” New telescopes show us parts of the universe our ancestors would have never dreamed to observe. The unseen becomes known. Yet so much remains unseen. We believe God created all. Both the seen and unseen lay before us. Ever, we are invited into the mystery that is God’s creation and God’s creative process.

Join us for worship this weekend!
What is it that we believe? To be human is to wrestle with old and new questions about our faith and God. This August, our sermon series looks back 1,700 years to the Nicene Creed with an eye on today’s world.
The Nicene Creed was written to settle some important controversies regarding Jesus’ identity. The writers also chose to use ‘we’ instead of ‘I’ for each statement of belief. Why does this matter? And what do we do when part of the creed challenges our personal beliefs?

Worship This Weekend - July 26-27, 2025 💭 -Join us as we explore how God engages people through powerful moments of dialogue, decision, and divine direction. Each week, we will examine a different biblical character or moment where a conversation with God—spoken, implied, or lived out—shaped lives, communities, and futures.

In our Gospel passage from Luke, the disciples observe Jesus praying. They knew that John the Baptist had taught his disciples to pray, and so they asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. How did you learn to pray? Who taught you? This weekend we will explore what Jesus told his disciples are the most important elements in our conversations with God, and that we are to pray with boldness while trusting God’s love for us.

Worship This Weekend - July 19 & 20, 2025 💭- For the second week, we hear words from the prophet Amos, who brings a difficult word of judgement to the kingdom of Israel. During an age of prosperity, these ancient people refuse to see the image of God in the poor and vulnerable. They exploit the vulnerable for their own gain and refuse to change their ways. Through Amos, God brings word of their impending conquest. How do we wrestle with God’s anger in this passage? Might there be things in the world that we would want God to be angry about?

Join us for worship this weekend! July 5 & 6, 2025 💭- This weekend we hear the story of Naaman, a Syrian general, who is healed of leprosy by the prophet, Elisha in Israel. The story highlights themes of humility, faith, and God’s power to heal, even across national and social boundaries. Naaman, initially expecting a grand display of power, is humbled by Elisha`s simple instructions to wash in the Jordan River. His subsequent healing and confession of faith in the God of Israel demonstrate the transformative power of God`s grace.

Worship This Weekend - June 28 & 29, 2025 💭 - This weekend, through the eyes of Elisa, we watch Elijah be carried up into heaven on a fiery chariot. Elisa now carries Elijah’s mantle and is prophet of Israel. In times of change and transition, God is present to guide and ground us. How do we talk to God during times of change? How might change open our ears to hear God’s voice in new ways?

Each week, we will examine a different biblical character or moment where a conversation with God—spoken, implied, or lived out—shaped lives, communities, and futures. This weekend we hear how God can speak through silence. Standing on the mountain, Elijah experiences great wind, earthquake and fire. But the Lord was not in them. It’s in the sheer silence that God finally comes to care for and direct Elijah.
