This Weekend at Trinity - November 15 & 16, 2025 🩵 - These are difficult and dangerous times. People experience persecution and betrayal. However, it is not a time to lose heart. Jesus Christ is not just a good-example Jesus. Neither are we saved by our own endurance. We have a God of unconditional love. Trusting that the Spirit is still at work renewing creation and reconciling the world, God gives the strength to endure.

This Weekend at Trinity - November 8 & 9, 2025 🩵 - We may find ourselves puzzled by questions about death and what comes afterward. We may also wonder how we can best live our lives here on earth in order to fulfill the purpose to which God has called us. We need not shy away from questions about our faith, nor fear when faced with challenging discussions. Today’s scriptures invite us to engage with these topics using our faith and understanding, and to share the hope that we have in Christ.

This Weekend at Trinity - October 18 & 19, 2025 💚- This weekend, scripture calls us to reimagine a world where our social and economic systems are not built to disparage or impoverish, but instead to provide for and benefit all. We will revisit the story of the widow’s mite. Instead of commending the widow’s giving practices, perhaps Jesus is condemning the economic system that created her poverty. If true, what might this mean for our own money stories?

This week we practice releasing shame, anxiety, guilt, greed or anything that keeps us from freedom and wholeness. We release the elements of our money story that prevent us from fully living into God’s story. And we hear how God invites both individuals and communities to practice release in the intersection of faith and finances.

This weekend at Trinity we begin our Generosity Series! October 4 & 5, 2025 - We all carry a money story - experiences and beliefs that shape how we think and how we live. This October at Trinity, we’re exploring those stories through the lens of God’s story—a story of freedom, justice, and hope. Together, we’ll reflect, reimagine, and open ourselves to the transformation God longs to bring into our lives. We begin by looking back at what our spoken and unspoken money stories have been and how those stories have impacted our practices of stewardship. Through scripture, we will remember God’s faithfulness to past generations, and how God remains faithful to us, no matter our story.

This Weekend at Trinity - September 20 & 21, 2025🍂 - A rich landowner tells his unsatisfactory manager he’s going to fire him. Before cleaning out his desk, the manager calls in those who owed his boss and reduced their debt. When the boss hears about it, he doesn’t call his lawyer, but sits back and laughs in admiration. How could Jesus tell a story where the main character is a crook? Why doesn’t the boss punish the bad manager? What is Jesus trying to tell us? This weekend we look at this difficult parable with a surprise ending. The takeaway: in God’s economy, people matter more than profits. Mercy reigns.

This Weekend at Trinity - September 13 & 14, 2025🍂 - In what do we find ourselves lost? Writer Anne Lamott said, “I do not at all understand the mystery of grace– only that it meets us where we are but does not leave us where it found us.” In parables of a lost sheep and lost coin. Jesus explores this mystery of grace. In what do we find ourselves lost? Jesus seeks out what is lost, searching relentlessly, never stopping until heaven rejoices.
